I gave it three 3 because there is no 3.5, and it IMO is not a 4.
Pros:
Likeable characters for the most part (one of the PoV characters is actually very unlikable, but he does fulfill a purpose in the story)
An interesting magic system
Eastern Dragons vs Western Dragons
Cons:
The World is basically ours with different names
The pace of the story. It takes until page 500 before the story picks up. Before then it was a slog and events were taking too long. After page 500 it picks up very quickly and th ...more
