Based off a true story, the book discusses normal penguin mating activity, and then discusses how two male penguins engaged in the same behaviors. Then, they discuss how the penguins successfully raised a baby penguin. Though there were two fathers instead of one father and one mother, they were a happy penguin family.

I'm literally crying after reading this amazing book! This story brings to life the bond two people, or penguins in this case, can share, regardless of sex. Roy and Silo wanted nothing more than a chick of their own, and they get one in a n unconventional way. this book would also be a great resource when discussing adoption/nontraditional families. The fact that it is also a true story just makes it all the better! ...more
