Boy's Don't Knit! by Janice Schoop is book for third grade and younger. In this book, Marvin a young boy who is forced to wear a sweater that his grandmother had bought him because she is in town. He pulls the string while wearing it and it unravels. He then finds that boys do indeed knit. This book also includes instructions on how to knit a scarf. This book is great to ignite conversations about gender roles and the importance of not letting social constructs dictate what you do.
