[close] The book, What I Want To Be, is by P. Mignon Hinds and illusrated by Cornelius Van Wright. The book is in the fiction department and would go for about a 1st and 2nd grade level. I liked this book because again it addresses the fact that as a girl there are no limitations to what you can be when you grow up. The girl in the story looked up to her father and ranged from the thought of being adress designer to being a professional baseball player. She didn't see gender at all as a way to stop her from her personal interest in being the person she wanted to grow up and be.
