This is a realistic fiction book that would be perfect for upper elementary grades. It is wordy so it would be too much (content-wise as well) for really young kids. I really enjoyed this book because I feel like it addressed the questions kids may have at first when they see someone who is different or someone with disabilities. The way the girl in the book asks questions allows for answers to be given to the reader as well, and then Kate (the girl) becomes friends with Timmy (who has a disability). She has him come play with her and all her friends play with him too. It becomes obvious that Timmy is just another kid. The story shows us how to be accepting and welcoming to others different from ourselves.
