This is a fairy-tale that would be good for elementary aged children. It's unrealistic in that the main character is a boy who sprouts flowers all over his body when there's a full moon. His family is "out there" and he likes a popular girl at school but he is reserved and shy. I like the story because it depicts the main character coming out of his comfort zone to perform a kind act for the girl because he notices something that is "off" with her too. They connect, and the moral of the story is nice. It focuses on the characters' similarities and highlights the fact that everyone will have their differences and quirkiness but in truth, we are all more alike than we are anything else.
