"The deal is the deal."

Wow! I did hope for the hype to be real with Six of Crows but this is incredible! Everything about this book was awesome: plot, characters, world-building, writing. I'm having a hard time imagining Six of Crows ever getting a critical review from a reader of any taste. The never ending scheming of Kaz Brekker, supported by the most unique crew imaginable, unfolds one of the most entertaining and original stories I've ever read.

Six of Crows went beyond and above my expectations!

i love movies, stories, or books about heists like carmen sandiego and money heist (i cant wait for season 5 btw! ) so i think, maybe i'll like this six of crows duology.

this is one of those books where you won't calm down until you know the whole world has read it.
This is one of those books that you wish you would forget, just so you had the pleasure of reading it for the first time again.

I think this is the first book I've ever read where I wholeheartedly loved every single one of the main characters. LIKE TALK ABOUT CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. This lived up to every single expectation I had. I NEED A MOMENT TO SIT DOWN AND JUST THINK ABOUT HOW GREAT THIS WAS.

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo had been on my TBR since almost forever. But I really have no idea why I kept ‘not-reading’ it for so long! (I’m just stupid that way). Six of Crows had almost everything I could expect for in a book- action, twists, crime, romance, drama, comedy. It’s such a perfect blend of each of these elements! The story-line was so fast paced, I swear I couldn't breathe! (Oh and I love not being able to breathe like that) Somebody really gotta tell me who can train me to become a criminal. I say GET ME TO KAZ BREKKER. NOW. The book had such a Gothic feel to it, it was really overwhelming. I LOVE GOTHIC (I live for GOTHIC). The story was so gritty, well-planned and executed and carefully crafted that it had me sitting (and screaming and crying and hyperventilating) on the edge!

I fail to describe how I feel towards all the too good diverse characters in this book. I LOVE how our protagonist or shall I say, ‘hero’ Kaz Brekker is actually anti-hero and what leads him to the impossible quest is not his drive to save the world or do something good for the mankind or any other ‘heroey’ (this word doesn’t exist, but you get what I mean) stuffs but just his pure greed for a whole lot of money.

He almost laughed at that. “No, Inej. Greed bows to me. It is my servant and my lever.”

Inej is my absolute favourite person in the book. Isn’t she such a sweetheart?? (even though she could kill you with a single sway of her blades and you wouldn’t even realise that you’ve been stabbed until you’re dead) I totally Stan a queen who is both deadly dangerous and sweet when she needs to be.

She was Inej Ghafa, and she would not quiver like a rabbit in a snare.

The romance!!!!! (please don’t mind me while I bawl my eyes out with so many emotions, SO MANY DAMN EMOTIONS! *sobbing*) I just LOVE how Leigh Bardugo started with such a mild romance and then grew it so much over the story. Just Perfect how it didn’t even override the main-plot, wasn’t even slightly offensive or vulgar but made the story a whole lot better and more interesting. The depth of emotional connect I feel to the pairs!!😭😭 I can't explain it with mere words!!😭😭 But I can die and show you 😭😭 *dies*

Its really mesmerising how the author blends the character’s painful and traumatic backstory so beautifully and realistically with their current scenario and situations, I think they couldn’t have been more perfectly timed. I am also in LOVE with how Leigh Bardugo mixed comedy so AMAZINGLY with the main plot, every member of the crew was funny without even trying to be. The sarcasm didn’t feel overdid or exaggerated but purely natural to me. (Sarcasm is always natural to me tho)

“Jesper: “If Pekka Rollins kills us all, I’m going to get Wylan’s ghost to teach my ghost how to play the flute just so that I can annoy the hell out of your ghost.”
Kaz: “I’ll just hire Matthias’ ghost to kick your ghost’s ass.”

I swear these criminal babies!! 😘😭

If I could, I would talk about six of crows for the rest of my life and eternity but, we need to end our book review. I would 100% suggest this book to every organic life form in the world. (a bit exaggerated but…anyways). It’s nothing less then a masterpiece and I assure that it wont disappoint you.
