This was definitely such an empowering, eye-opening novel with characters that will stick with me. I cannot emphasize how much you need to read this book.

The Hate U Give was a really moving, hard-hitting story of a girl who just lost her black best friend to a police officer while he was unarmed. The book shows us the messed-up part of our society and our justice system nowadays. The Hate U Give seriously made me look at white privilege in tons of different new aspects.
