In the Time of the Butterflies ties in history, fiction and an author's own elements into a story well-known in the South Americas: that of General Trujillo and las Mariposas. I came to enjoy this book immensely from the beginning. It is a tale of love, family, patriotism and honor. And, as always, of doing the right thing.

I would just really recommend this to anyone looking for a wonderful piece to read--inspired by true events. ...more
