Re-read:
I didn't rate this book high enough the first time I read it. I couldn't put this down, and it's a re-read. I'm completely enamoured with this book and its characters, particularly Harry Cameron. I highlighted the text and cried more the second time around, if that means anything.

Hace poco me di cuenta de que no estaba siendo sincera conmigo misma, de que desde hace ya un tiempo estaba en negación con lo que sentía y por las personas por las que lo sentía. Puede que aún no esté preparada para contarle mi verdad a las personas que quiero y por ello no lo hago explícitamente, pero de algo de lo que estoy segura es de que la historia de Evelyn Hugo llegó a mi en el momento indicado.

when i read this, i wasn’t able to write a review but now that the emotions have subsided, i can write a bit more about it.
before reading this i didn’t really know why or how the main character was bisexual. i gave it a go for the late night bookclub and i’m so glad i did.
“I’m bisexual. Don’t ignore half of me so you can fit me into a box, Monique. Don’t do that.”

Eu não sei nem o que dizer sobre esse livro. Eu amo e odeio Evelyn Hugo, uma mulher detestável e impressionante ao mesmo tempo, e ela nem existe!! Terminei o livro querendo ver os filmes dela, procurar reportagens, ver fotos, qualquer coisa, é uma personagem que é difícil acreditar que não é real. Um livro que trata de assuntos importantes de maneira instigante, te faz ficar cada vez mais curiosa e querer saber cada vez mais sobre a história dessa personagem.
