?? what’s up with this book? okay firstly I wanted to throw up and rolled my eyes constantly while reading it and then ? something has changed because it became so deep and idk ? soothing? just like a rolling surf which just makes you feel comfortable and calm and safe at the same time. and i cannot explain what happened. I liked the last chapter and just wanted to write “нормуль” in my review and leave it alone. I haven’t read anything as ambiguous as this book for a long time

Normal People is one of those novels that feels like a fragment of someone’s life has been removed and placed within a book. It was essentially a character study of two people, Marianne and Connell, as well as their relationship throughout the years. I think books with a lack of plot and a more character-driven narrative are either a hit or a miss for people, and personally it was a miss for me.
