The first few chapters were loooong and I didn’t understand the hype over Six of Crows.
I was about to rate it 3/3.5 ⭐️ but man what happened in the last few chapters has earned the book full 4 ⭐️ and I just want to see; the earth fall, for Kaz to get his wraith and promised money back, to end Jan Van Eck and his supposed kingdom that’s built on bad blood and for Nina to get better I hope she doesn’t get addicted (she’s like my fav character and I’ll be devastated)

so, YES

this book was aaaaaamazing! the characters, the plot, everything. Kaz, Inej, Nina, Matthias, all of them. I mean, look at their names, even those are unique. typing up this review two months after I read it is stupid, I know, but I didn’t want to leave it with just “what and wow.” It deserves more words than that.
I loved everything overall so I don’t want to expand upon that too much, but it felt very long, the story. therefore I’m not sure if I’m reading the next book soon (also because ...more

WOAH! Shit, what have I just finished?
This is like the most incredible, breathtaking and fascinating journey ever!!! I want to say that this is the best book I've ever read this year, how is that even possible? Leigh Bardugo is such an incredible human being to have written something so amazing like this. Having read the Grisha Trilogy, i am so excited to find out about another part of the world besides Ravka. And this book doesn't disappoint!! The places like Fjeda and Kerch were written unden WOAH! Shit, what have I just finished?

Having read the Grisha Trilogy, i am so excited to find out about another part of the world besides Ravka. And this book doesn't disappoint!! The places like Fjeda and Kerch were written undeniably vivid; i felt like i was in those places, really! Other than that, the characters in this book are flabbergasted. Gosh, I love each and every character; I can't believe it was so easy to read, to understand when there are 6 main characters in here, and there are 5 POV. As the story goes, we get a glimpse of their past, and I had to say that this 3rd person POV was the best thing ever!!! Favourite character? well, no one can resist Kaz's brain, right?? He's just so smart, like super smart. He thought of things that I've never even thought of 😭 i REALLY do feel bad for his dark past, but without it, he wouldn't the Kaz Brekker, right? I also couldn't resist shipping Kaz and Inej. Like woah, the romance doesn't take over the plot, but i kinda it could haha.
Well Enough of my feelings, so the story follows the characters travelling to the Ice Court, a highly secured place in Fjerda to rescue a person who knows how to make "jurda parem", something that empowers Grisha, but at the same time, makes them addicted, and craves for it like drugs. So Yes. The story was action-packed from the very start to the very end; I just love every bit of it, and I can't wait to pick up Crooked Kingdom right away. 5 solid ⭐

1st read: March 24, 2020
2nd read: April 7, 2021: 5 freaking star. I have so much fun the second time reading. I can't believe how many times I laughed. The first 100 pages were quicker this time. The overall pace is also faster somehow. I am in love with these characters. I can't wait to get my heart broken in CK. ...more
