Wonderful retelling of Homers Iliad from Patroclus perspective, Achilles closest companion and romantic partner. This book moved me deeply, not least because of miller's ability to interweave words into a poetic and beautiful narrative.

5 stars. All i have to say is 5 stars. Before reading I saw reviews from people who were unimpressed with the book and I disagree with everything they said. I absolutely LOVED this book. Don’t get mad at me but I just didn’t find it as amazing as everyone else. I think the concept and the writing was all great it just was hyped up so much I didn’t feel the same excitement and connection as I believe I would’ve if I hadn’t heard anything about it. It took me a while to get into it but I did enjoy the last 150 or so pages and balled at the end, now i’m writing this it probably is very close to 4 stars for me😂
