4.5 stars ... Wow okay this was my first classic of this kind that I have ever read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Going into this read, I was familiar with the story from both the movie and the short tv series, both of which I thoroughly enjoyed. By having this background in what the story was about, it made it much easier to understand the story and what was going on. I cannot wait to rewatch the movie now that I have finished the novel. Dear goodreads , please introduce a 6th star or maybe even ten , because ( even a miser like me , when it comes to rating books ) believes 5 star won't do justice to this book.

Honestly I was so scared before going into this one ( don't ask me why ) and yes Jane Austin did irritate me during the first few pages and then
I couldn't keep it down.
It's absolutely amazing , fantastic

I am sorry to be giving Jane Austen only 2 stars. She is evidently a skillful, witty writer and her book is by no means low-quality work. But honestly, I could take it or leave it. I didn't dislike the book, and I didn't like it. At no point during the story could I really care for the characters and their fate.

It wasn't that I couldn't connect with the setting and the ambiance of Georgian/Victorian England. On the contrary, I enjoyed becoming (re)acquainted with all the particulars, the descrip
