Essential read for having a basic Marxist understanding of the relationship of the state and revolution. Had a very clear explanation of the transition from capitalism to communism and how the role of a centralized state is integral to this transitional period.
I specifically appreciated the discussion of how anarchists and social democrats often fail to recognize or even address the role of the state in social revolution.

i'm not a v knowlegeable marxist lol i converted like a little more than a month ago but to read lenin's absolute annihilation of mr kautsky as relief for exam stress is amazing. lenin actually writes with vigor and adds a bit of humor, which compared to marx's bland (but still very very important) writing is so refreshing. thank god i chose this to read first and not some bland economic stuff, but i digress. so essential in my understanding of marxism-leninism and helped a younger centrist me i
