This book was originally commissioned by and performed on NPR by the author himself on Christmas Day, 2008. It is what Maguire calls a 'reillumination' of the famous, though not oft heard anymore, Hans Christian Anderson tale 'The Little Match Girl'. Accompanied by his own line drawings, this story is told in a way that only Maguire could. His fans will love it.
