This book had me at it's very short but very memorable first paragraph: "I saw the devil at the age of three and he gave me chocolate. It changed my life forever."

This was a pleasant book about the author, a self-admitted misanthrope, who managed her sister’s (Sandra Bullock) movie production company in Hollywood but always felt out of place unless she was baking something yummy. In 2004 she and her husband decided to move to in Montpelier (aka Montpeculiar), Vermont and open a bakery. In the book she gives succulent details about what and how she bakes and also reminisces about life with her mother (now deceased) and sister. It was a nice book and I love
