This is a great read--fast paced, smart and unusual, particularly since the main hero of the piece is a woman. Emma Caldridge, a biochemist for a cosmetics company, survives a crash landing of a hijacked plane in the jungles of Columbia. I'm calling this one "Women's fiction," but it is different from all the rest I've read. It is really a FEMALE ACTION ADVENTURE. And for that, I liked it a lot. The heroine, Emma Caldridge, was smart, educated, tough, and resourceful. The writing is nothing to write home about - but the story kept me turning the pages.
