How does one review someone's life? It's probably one of the harder things to do, especially with such an icon as Stephen Hawking. I'll admit that I'm one of those people who has a copy of A Brief History of Time , but I haven't read it yet (I'm going to, I swear!).

Short and concise this book dwells for most of the time on the findings of Hawking istead of his life, it seems to me also consistent with the character who does not want or need to impress with feelings, it is not its purpose nor his work, let alone something for which he is famous. Having said that you can also not read it unless you're particularly interested in the reason why if there were time travelers among us, they would be very small.
