I gave Stuff of Thought 4 out of 5, even though it was totally amazing, for two reasons: a) that it was a little heavy on the linguistic lingo for a popular science text if you're not acquainted with the field, and b) it seems unimportant alongside Pinker's masterpiece, The Blank Slate, which those who haven't read Pinker should go for first ...more
