Disclaimer: I have no formal education in biology. I have enjoyed a few MOOCs in computational biology, thus I had to read most sections multiple times and recruited ChatGPT to help add context and give a different point of view. I found the book an advanced popular science book, not a text book, nor a book easily enjoyed by most.
