Interesting book, I would give it 4 stars if the author had not written such a misleading chapter about DDT. As we know now DDT is not the toxin we once thought it was and so the author concludes that the hysteria caused by Silent Spring was wrong, and in some ways the author is correct, yet we were indiscriminately spraying DDT everywhere in large quantities which decimated insect populations which led to problems further up the food chain (birds, lizards, etc eat those insects and when they di
