What Members Thought

Alissa Thorne
This was not as engaging as I expected it to be, though I think that has more to do with my personal interest in the topic and how distracted I was while reading it than the quality of the book itself. There was a chapter or two towards the end that got into what music means to people--in particular, which aspects of music are emotionally compelling, which parts are intellectually compelling, and the mechanisms behind it--which was just what I was hoping to get out of it.
