Once upon a time, a man had some sore feet.

In looking for a solution to that problem, he tells the story of revolution, of ultramarathons, of an indigenous tribe.

And then he runs possibly the coolest sounding race I’ve ever come across.

As motivation goes to lace up again tomorrow, it’s exceplent.

This is an interesting book about running ultra-long distances. I wouldn't say that it really focuses on the Tarahumara, and I really didn't know much more about them after reading this book than before. They are still pretty much a mystery. This book focuses on a couple of topics including the Leadville 100 ultra marathon, running barefoot and the corruption of shoe manufacturers, and the evolution of humans to become running creatures. I really didn't think I'd like this, but I laughed out loud in the first chapter so had to continue. I love anything contraversial anyway.

We are born to run, barefoot, all the time, injury feee, at any age. Fueled by vegan food. So there. No need to go out and but expensive running shoes. There is a guy running in his old Teva sandals. I have a pair of those and they are very comfortable for walking but must admit, ever since reading this, i find myself going for a run in those. And it works.
