Rachael Carson's important book sounding the alarm and starting the environmental movement should probably be read in small doses. Written 40 years ago, she reveals just what man has done to poison the earth and its inhabitants including man.
Hopefully, we have made some progress over the passage of time, but this book can be very depressing to read. ...more
