Carey provides a clear and easy to understand explanation of how epigenetics works and how it is forcing us to rewrite the theory of evolution, giving the environment a larger role and the gene itself a smaller one.

Essential for anyone who wants to keep up to date with the theory of evolution.

I got some useful information out of the book, although I loathed her style, which alternated between talking down to me and so technical I couldn't follow it. ...more

This was an amazing book, a MUST READ if you are at all interested in the field of epigenetics. Nessa Carey is such a great writer. The book was full of facts and research, written in an easy-to-understand, interesting way. I loved this book. It made everything so clear. This is the first book you should read about epigenetics.
