I really enjoyed A Song of Wraiths and Ruin by Roseanne A. Brown. The world building and character development were on point. I found myself drawn into this book from the beginning, in this book inspired by West African folklore.
The book alternates chapters between two main characters. Karina is the Crown Princess of Ziran, and Malik is a refugee who joins the Solstasia contest. Due to unforeseen events, both are set on a path to kill one another.

Do you ever read a book and think that was pretty good. Then after a few days change your mind and absolutely love it?

I finished A Song of Wraiths and Ruin on Sunday, and I really, really liked it! But for some reason I only gave it 4.5 stars. But the more I thought about it the more I liked it and now I’ve changed my mind and give it the full 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
