Book: There is a deadly virus that has been infecting and killing people. Anyone who contracts this disease needs to be immediately quarantined. The world is trying to find a cure and a vaccine to protect its people.
Me: is that you, 2020?

If this book wasn't published way back when, I would have definitely concluded that this book took its influence from the Covid pandemic because things are sooo similar! It's eerie! Having said that, I loved the book! Before this book, I'd have never thought of

3.5/5

Reading this for the second time.

Interesting premise and retelling of the Cinderella story. Not to mention the main protagonist is a POC and a mechanic! I loved this series as a whole but I must say that my least favorite book was this one. Maybe because of the predictability of the plot, but then again Meyer may have made it that way to allude to the future books. I thoroughly enjoyed the hints and easter eggs that Meyer dropped. It just showed the extent of her planning for this series.

Cinder is the first book in The Lunar Chronicles, which is my favorite series!! Cinder introduces the world of the story and some of the major characters. This world is so exciting, and the plot is really interesting. It’s not my favorite book in the series, but it’s definitely worth reading!!
