War, written by Sebastian Junger, is about the United States’ involvement in one of the most dangerous places in the Afghanistan War. In the Korengal Valley, waking up to bullets whizzing past you, constant fear, and harsh conditions mixed in with the chance that you could die at any moment are common obstacles that the soldiers deal with every day. This book was written with so much information about war that it feels like a personal experience the author had when he went to war.
