I am glad that I had a chance to read this book, but honestly, I did not like the author and his attitudes. I found him too selfish, a bit unreliable, and politically ignorant and even maybe too rational, and unfortunately, this rationality highly affected his judgments and opinions. I think he could not grasp Gazan's long-term feelings of being oppressed, thus could not interpret their reactions fairly.
