What Members Thought
I had a messy reaction to this book. Obviously suicide is romanticized here, and the use of the word "virgin" in the title defines the sisters by their sexual status, though Lux is highly promiscuous and none of them are innocent. I suppose the goal is to highlight that you never really know your neighbors, or anyone, to be sure. I found the perspective of the neighbor kids highly effective at keeping the sisters on a pedestal, we don't know them individually, just as a monolith. I also felt a s
