Well this book lived up to a lot of the hype that surrounds it. While the name and cover still do not grab my attention the story, once started, did.
This book is written in first perspective, from the heroine's aspect. Her name is Katniss Everdeen. She starts off in her home, a simple, poor area of the land. I tore through the book in three days. I thought it would be a arduous read cause I had seen the movie and basically know what is happening. But to my surprise, I find myself unable to stop reading. This was literally a "page-turner" for me.
Initially I was put off by the perspective of writing- it is written from the perspective of the protagonist. So anything that the protagonist does is actually narrated in her own words to us; for eg.

hunting boo

This was the most exciting of the trilogy. I really enjoyed reading it. So much I will probably read it again. It's a very easy read which I just love because I lose interest if I'm on a book for too long.

I found the first person present jarring and only made worse by the narrator's diction.
