Hmm. This was a quick read, and I liked it at the start, but as it went on I found it increasingly frustrating.
Positives:
Ishiguro's writing
Klara's POV, especially at the beginning
Things that didn't work:
The entire plotline related to the Sun
Too many ideas going on at once, so that there was a lot left unexplained or insufficiently explained. The sci-fi elements in particular were either confusing or unconvincing. ...more

An extraordinary story. Delicately woven and told. Leaves an impression and a set of profound questions.
Really great overall, though my interest did wane a bit towards the end.
