Oh My Goodness! I didn't know what to expect with this new novel but I absolutely fell in love with it. The tragedy, the friendships, the undeniably adorable Brooklyn.

Mason seems so vulnerable and good, its hard to see how anyone could hurt him. The character was magnetic. The tragedy that both spurs him on and holds him back is heart breaking but that doesn't make the story too dark as his new friendships lift him up. This book is the first book that I've read by this author and it was absolutely beautifully written.This book had my emotions all over the place on a real rollercoaster ride. This book had me totally hooked from the beginning. I absolutely loved the diary entries at the beginning of each chapters, you can feel the emotions through the pages, from his wife that's passed.

This book is book #1 A Turner Artist Rockstar Novel.

I am not sure where to start this review , other than to say that Alyson Santos knocked this one out of the arena. I was riveted to this book from the first page until the last and could not put it down.

Rising West by Alyson Santos is absolutely phenomenal.

Santos takes all the feels that made us fall in love with her writing with Night Shifts Black and kicks it up about a hundred notches.

To say I loved Mason West is an understatement.

Add in his daughter Brooklyn and then the kickass Liberty, and you have everything it takes to make you want to devour every word of this book, while soaking in all the feels.

Mason and Liberty’s love story is so beautiful and so uniquely written. Alyson Santos is an incredible writer. She completely blew me away with this one! The passion, heart and emotion just bleeds off the page. I was addicted to this story and could not put it down from beginning to end. This may appear to be a short review,but sometimes a book doesn't need millions of words to tell you just how special and truly phenomenal it is.
This is one of those books.
After only the first 2 chapters I knew this story was going to slay me,and slay me it did..
As I read goosebumps prickled on my arms,legs and down my spine,Alyson's words entrapped me I was caught and frankly didn't want to escape. I was a complete goner.Lost to I Love this book,

From his humble beginnings, to stardom ,to getting a second chance to shine and a second chance to Love ,from the Lyrics he wrote and the emotion he evoked inside me I was absolutely addicted.
I Love Mason West, as a character he was perfectly imperfect, a gentle soul eaten away inside by self doubt and guilt(he reminded me of myself)..his inner demons could cost him everything I was so so glad he wasn't the Cliche drug taking,sex driven,alcohol fueled egotistical rockstar that you usually read about.He is a single father,with an exceptional gift for music...his love for the music and performing is all that he wants,and to make a better life for his daughter(Brooklyn is the cutest)
I think he's my Soul mate I adore him...
Liberty is his New Boss,and band member with the band Burn Card ,she is a force to be reckoned with thats for sure,but she has her own insecurities I wasn't sure I was going to like her at first because her first meeting with Mason isn't all that successful and I thought how can anyone not like Mason..lol..But actually she has a really big heart underneath a tough exterior, I loved the way she wanted to protect Mason and supported him and fought for him..they were perfect together in every way. I also loved the other band mates Aaron,Mitch and Tivo although we don't get to learn much about them you can tell the whole band has a great relationship.
So Rockstar Romance readers this is the book for you,even readers who don't usually read books about musicians give Rising West a try,because it will definitely change your mind.
I did Not want it to end and I am sad that its over ,I miss them already.. geez I am such a fangirl at the moment a total Mason West groupie..It is times like these I wish that characters in books were real because I would be the first in Line to a Burn Card gig to see Mason work his Magic.
Alyson Santos I am Not Worthy this is an Incredible book,with writing that is poetic and exquisite and a story that will just steal your heart.
It has my highest recommendation.

Alyson Santos! You rock! Seriously, this has to be one of my favourite rock band novels ever! If you want egotistical rockstars taking over your pages, this book is not for you. If you want all the feels from talented, slightly jaded musicians who will rock your world. Then this is the book for you. Mason West - you’re mine! Where to start and what to say to do this book justice well I guess I start by saying this story blew me away, it gave me all the feels and it took me back to the days of Night Shifts Black in other words for me this is Alyson Santos at her best . Riding West is one of those special reads that you know is going to stay with you forever and you know you are going to remember quotes from this very special story

Rising West is a beautifully written story about Mason West, an extremely talented singer and musician who basically had to remove himself from his career in order to be the single father he needed to be and now he's just not sure who he is. The lovely story of Mason and Liberty are amazing and sweet. Brooklyn stole my heart in this book. I love their chemistry and their romance obviously. The whole Band are wonderful. The emotions are many, I love them all, happiness, love, sadness, broken heart. Great story.
