Pachinko is a Japanese pinball game that sprang up sometime during the 1920s. While the game itself was made by Japanese, the industry has been dominated by ethnically Korean people for a long time. I loved every page. It was a beautiful but tragic and pulled at my heart. There were shocks that really left me speechless. I felt like I really knew these people and their lives. Even though it was a long book, I wish it was even longer I just wanted to keep going. I would maybe like to reread this and have a discussion on it some day.
