4.5 stars. gorgeous writing. having been dealt with loss myself, it’s human nature to want to appear as strong despite grief weighing us down and masking and suppressing it from spilling over the borders of our everyday reality is only going to have an adverse effect on us. this book feels like a warm hug on a chilly day and a gentle breeze on a sunny morning - a wonderfully written collection of stories on road to recovery. absolutely beautiful.

I loved loved this book especially the first story. Wow. I don’t feel like it was a 5 star read tho but close. And I don’t really know how I feel about the second story? My theory though is that ‘when the coffee gets cold’ is inspired by the second story but it’s just a thought

Idk I guess it was good. Really pretty writing. Definitely see where its problematic when she talks about trans people. Got kind of confused at the end but I can still appreciate the writing. Also thought there would be more about kitchens....
