I took too long to review this after reading, that I forgot what the book was all about na. Haha!
But in general, I remember it was just alright.

I remember thinking it was a bit similar to The Stranger. Maybe the main character had a similar ailment as that of Yunjae.. But I don't know why I feel more sympathy for TS's main character, rather than this one.

Some parts were a bit predictable, especially towards the end. But those parts made this book heartwarming. So it's all good.

Yunjae was born with underdeveloped amygdalae in his brain, which caused him to have difficulty feeling and expressing emotion.

A page turning interpretation of a character struggling to understand the world (and themselves) without the ability to regulate emotions. Personally, I feel like your own inner dialog will fill in the gaps on what the character “might have” experienced in a certain situation if it wasn’t for his Alexithymia. Thus making it a particularly emotional read, varying from sympathy to anger to sadness and so on.

In an unrelated occurrence, after I had finished this book, I was asked how I would descri

This book is really well written and I love how bluntly the narrator is, for obvious reasons, but I also feel like the ending was so abrupt and wrapped up in a neat little bow which felt a little unrealistic. Still a great, easy read overall.
