As a kid I ate up Christopher Pike. I'd spend hours in the corner of the mall's Waldenbook's, sifting through young adult fiction, always thrilled when there was a Pike book I didn't have. That said, I was never a fan of Monster. I thought the title was cheesy and Christopher Pike was not cheesy! RL Stine was totally cheesy. 30 years have passed since I first read Pike. In 2023 I found the PikeCast, a podcast reread of Pike books as adults. I enjoyed reliving my adolescence by listening to Cassie, Cooper, and Becca talk through the plots and characters of books I grew up with, some that I had read and read again through my twenties.
