An inventive and enthralling adventure.
Most of LJATMR: Dragoron is written from the POV of school girl Lottie, who, with her normal life hit by tragedy, begins to learn about her own magical powers. As she discovers new dimensions leading to a world of knights and dragons, Lottie encounters some dark characters like Mr Finch and Lord Amara, who are obviously up to no good. Great start for this series!
This story was a surprise! It manages to be original and unexpected, while remaining close to the classic Hero’s Journey. Charlotte is a lovely character, and the care the author put on her development paid off.
I do feel it’s a book almost exclusively aimed for teenagers, since the way it’s written reminded me more of a young woman’s journal than a novel. I missed some dialogue earlier in the story.
