First of all, I would like to make clear that I’m a huge fan of these books. I literally put my life on standby just to finish the series. But I was not hooked on Mockingjay until maybe a good hundred pages in. Why? Well, it starts out with our girl on fire taking refuge in the underground District 13. District 12, the girl’s hometown, is no more. I’m not going to add so much detail in this part of the book since I felt as claustrophobic as our beloved hero during this part of the story.
