This was the only book in the series that I genuinely hated. The first book spent too long dawdling on boring material, setting the scene. The second was pretty much perfect, but this one was a failure on all levels. Instead of sticking to the tried and true formula of kids killing one another for the sadistic pleasure of the rest of PanAm, this book changes it and instead takes us on a pointless adventure in which Katniss and Co. storm the Capitol.
