I am listing books that form the backbone of the "environmental movement" in this country and for new 'ologists', I would argue you have a duty and obligation to read these books and remember the great sacrifices made by our early ecologists including being ostracized, maligned, and rejected.

This book is an absolute must if you live in the Western U.S. 'ologist or not.

Probably the most depressing, angering and yet most interesting book I've read in years. How the politicians and rich got away with diverting a life-giving resource for their own benefits. Sadly, it's no doubt now happening with oil, sugar, corn, coal and any other commodity that makes some rich at the expense of others' health. ...more
