I really enjoyed Song of Achilles, but I LOVED Circe. Miller once again brings the Ancient Greek legends to life and adds brilliant depth of character. This is simultaneously a mythical adventure tale and a meditation on the blessing and curse that is mortality.
I can’t wait for her next book!

Thank you Jessica for buddy reading this with me :)

So, Circe is about the life and adventures of the greek goddess! I’m a huge Greek mythology fan so for sure there was no question about if I would be reading this or not. The question was really WHEN I would be reading this. This book is right up my alley and this book did not disappoint in that part. You find out a lot about greek mythology with this book. It is truly an educational read. The book itself was an easy read. The writing style was

I love mythologies. I love to read about the GODs. Sometimes I hate them so much that my blood shimmers, ear rings, skin crawls, yet they never fails to amaze me.
I recently read #Circe by Madeline Miller as the BoTM of The KL Book Appreciation Club (KLBAC) . There are places where I could find my favourite characters shine, and when I read about young Icarus, I knew what his fate was, and it made me cry.

I am a fan of Greek Mythology but I felt like up to page 130, where I ended, was super slow. The writing is beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but there wasn’t much in the story that was drawing me in and encouraging me to continue reading. I got to the point where I dreaded picking this book up and would find other things to do in

It's actually great so far. I'm sure I'll like it once it gets to more of the plot + action and less world building. I can't wait til they have to stop treating Circe like crap ...more

This was the first book on my Want to Read list and has been on my TBR for years. It lived up to the expectation and I loved every second of it!
