Will change the way you think about housing and housing insecurity. A problem we could solve if we took the trauma of eviction seriously and we took the complaints of landlords with a big chunk of salt. Desmond is so thoughtful and approaches the issues of class and race without piety but with plenty of humility.

For anyone who wants to learn more about poverty, read this book. Housing is so important and this reinforced it for me. Wonderful book!
