Loved this book! You don’t have to be a beer drinker to enjoy it but knowing a little about different beers makes it easy to taste them when you read it. More importantly, the characters and relationships are spot on. The hard work and struggles are real and the success too. When is enough money enough and what do you do with it from the viewpoint of several characters. I highly recommend this book.
Humorous, some sweet turns of phrase, some midwestern facts and places I am familiar with, not particularly impressed with the relentless self-sacrifice of the character Edith, I thought it was overdone stereotype of Midwestern thinking. too much technical descrption of the de3tails of beer brewing, I wasn't that fascinated.

What an amazing book! I learned so much about making beer and I didn't even know I was interested in that! But it is about so much more than that! I loved the strong women, and particularly the strong older women!
