First, I don't really consider the ethical dilemma in the middle of this book to be such a dilemma. Like, the real problem was the lying, not the actual source of the plot. It seemed more that it snowballed because of the lying and not because of IP issues. Second, Jacob Finch Bonner was a really annoying protagonist and just deeply pathetic. I was not rooting for him. "I just care about the story. Either it's a good plot or it isn't. And if it's not a good plot, the best writing isn't going to help. And if it is, the worst writing isn't going to hurt it."

Well that twist blew my mind. I spent a long time wondering how this was a mystery but when I finally got there, it was too late and my mind was blown. Incredible and I find myself still thinking about this book weeks later.

This book was definitely overhyped, and the slowest moving thriller I have ever read. I was able to predict the twist, and the ending made me angry. I'm giving the book 3 stars because I was still able to finish it, but it won't be something I recommend to others. ...more
