I understand this book has earned a lot of critical acclaim, I understand all my friends telling me how good it is, but I must have read a different book. I just couldn't digest it very well, I guess. I'm not really sure what I was supposed to take away from it except that Tara Westover should be applauded for finally walking away from the horrible circumstances in which she was raised and for thriving in spite of her setbacks.
