What Members Thought
This is not the typical book I would choose to read. I had a hard time at the beginning with characters and storyline with the focus being history. As the book continued, I was more interested in the storyline and outcomes of each character. Overall, this book ended up being less about history and more about the bindings of women within a historic time.
Great story! Loved the characters, their humor, their struggles with the war, the ups and downs of friendships. Also, loved that this story is based on true events and real people, providing the reader with insight to a very small, yet important, window in history. With short chapters and quite the intrigue, this was a real page turner!
