What Members Thought

This is not the typical book I would choose to read. I had a hard time at the beginning with characters and storyline with the focus being history. As the book continued, I was more interested in the storyline and outcomes of each character. Overall, this book ended up being less about history and more about the bindings of women within a historic time.

Appeal Factors: suspenseful; intricately plotted; female friendships; WWII
My Thoughts: If you've read The Alice Network or The Huntress then you know Kate Quinn is an author you can depend on for page-turning plotlines, compelling female characters, and well-researched historic frameworks. My biggest critique of both these earlier books was in the pacing because I was more invested in one of the plotlines/time periods than the other. Not the case with The Rose Code .
