Set on an Native American Reservation, this is a gritty crime fiction story featuring a character named Virgil Wounded Horse. Virgil is known as the local enforcer-the one you call when you seek justice and the police can't (or won't) help. But, I really liked Virgil's character. Flawed, but also intelligent, loyal, and caring. He's a complex character.

It was an easy read, but I left feeling absolutely nothing after the book ended. Nothing special, nothing bad.
